What are the restrictions on decorations?
Our decoration restrictions, to protect our space and building, are that we do not allow nails (or anything that will leave a permanent mark), and we are only able to allow battery-operated candles.
How do rehearsals work?
Rehearsals must take place offsite or on the day of the wedding during the stated venue access period. If the Venue is available for an alternate day for a rehearsal, the client will be notified 30 days before the event date. The venue is not available for hosting rehearsal dinners at this time.
How do I secure my date?
Once you have taken a tour, signed the contract, and paid your initial deposit, you’ve made it official! Upon taking these actions, you will receive a booking confirmation.
Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?
To ensure that we can be available to answer your questions and show you all of the beautiful details that Cedar Oaks has to offer, tours are by appointment only and you can easily schedule your tour HERE. We can’t wait to meet you!
How many hours do I get for my event?
Our couples have access to Cedar Oaks Farm between 8:30 am – 11:00 pm. All events must end by 10:00 pm, and goodbyes and cleanup must be finished by 11:00 pm. We provide 5 hours for event time. For example, if your wedding ceremony begins at 4:00 pm, then it will end at 9:00 pm. If your ceremony begins at noon, it will end at 5:00 pm.
Is a wedding coordinator included?
No, your wedding coordinator is not included in the rental fee. However, we do require you to hire an approved coordinator for the day of your wedding. You can use one of our approved coordinators, or a coordinator of your choice, as long as they are pre-approved by Cedar Oaks Farm. In our approval process we vet and chose coordinators that know our values, our space, and expectations, and will ensure your day runs beautifully and smoothly!
Can I use any vendors I like?
Yes! You can bring in any of your own vendors. We do ask that caterers are licensed and insured. We have partnered with Coordinators and they will provide you with a list of reputable vendors.
What is your alcohol policy?
In order to ensure that everyone enjoys your party in a safe environment, we are a wine and beer facility only. No liquor is allowed on the property. We have strict rules surrounding liquor and alcohol which are meant to protect you, your guests, and our facility.
Can I come early to decorate?
Decorating for your day can begin as early as 8:30 am on the day of your event. This is when you will be granted entrance onto the property, and your day will commence! All tables and chairs will be set up to your expectations (as previously communicated with our Cedar Oaks staff) before you arrive.
Will the barn staff help set up my décor?
Our Cedar Oaks Staff members will be working on the day of your event to ensure all of the logistics are running smoothly while directing and coordinating your vendor team as they arrive. Because we want to ensure that these details are taken care of for you, we cannot commit to setting up decorations. We recommend ensuring that you will have ample vendors, friends, family, or others committed only to setting up your decor. Should we find extra time on your day, we are (of course) happy to pitch in!
Do you provide linens?
Black linen will be provided for up to two 6 foot DJ tables.
What happens if it rains?
If your wedding day has inclement weather, your wedding coordinator will work with us to make sure the main event room is set up for the rain plan you have prepared for and envisioned together.
Are pets allowed?
Yes! We are animal lovers, and would love to have your fur babies as a part of your event. Our restrictions are that all pets must be leashed or crated at all times, may not enter any buildings, and are only allowed to attend the ceremony.
Can we use sparklers?
Yes! We love the magic of a sparkler exit! Sparklers are allowed as the couple exits the venue under the supervision of the wedding coordinator. We do not permit the use of birdseed, confetti, glitter, faux flower petals, or rice.
Can we bring our own food to use in the bride and groom suites?
Yes! We encourage you to prepare for and enjoy a fun lunch, snacks, or sweet treats together as you get ready in the suites. Liquor is not allowed on the property at any time.
Can we use Cedar Oaks Farm for other events?
